3. Check that the busbar system is not de-energised before busbar maintenance! Completely cut off all power supply to the bus duct! Measure the voltage of the conductor with a multimeter to confirm that the busbar system is not charging before routine maintenance. Prevent high voltage may lead to serious accidents of personal injury or even death of the operator!

4. During maintenance, use a soft brush, hoover or cotton cloth to clean dust from the busbar. During maintenance, pay special attention to the clamping torque and surface cleanliness of the connectors. If the structure is loose or contaminated, the use resistance will increase, overheating, and even unevenness of the connection surface may cause arcing phenomenon.

5. When the bus duct is in operation, check whether there are leaks, water sprays, potential moisture sources around the whole system, whether there are heavy objects threatening the system, whether there are heat sources affecting the temperature rise of the bus duct system, and check whether there are any foreign objects entering the bus duct.

6. Check the busway system components for defects and corrosion, and the bracket springs for proper elasticity, and replace them immediately if problems are found.

7. When the busway is running for a long time, the temperature rise of the joints should be tested regularly once a year, and the temperature rise of the joints should not exceed 70K according to GB7251 standard.

8. Check whether there is aging of insulating materials and whether there is melting and deformation of conductive parts. Phase-to-phase insulation breakdown, should be removed in sections, with a voltage tester section check to find out the fault, or re-replace the busway, or re-insulation coating treatment.

9. Check whether the plug-in box pins of the busbar trunking system are in good contact with the busbar.

10. Before supplying power to the busbar system again, check the insulation resistance and record it.

11. After maintenance to ensure that the busbar system of the original protection level requirements.
