Plug-in shunt systems

For power distribution applications, MOLFO bus ducts are designed to accommodate shunt boxes with protection devices. The plug-in system is temperature rise and short-circuit tested and fully compliant with international standards (IEC439 Parts1,2) and national standards (GB7251 Parts1,2-2006). The location of the shunt box can be designed according to the customer's needs, and up to 3 shunt points can be accommodated in a standard 3.2 metre long straight section. The plug-in boxes can be installed or removed with the busbar supply. There is plenty of room for wiring in the box itself. They are equipped with special interlocks to prevent them from being opened or removed during use.

Temperature Control

Inside the plug-in box, there is a device to monitor the temperature abnormality of the joints, when the temperature inside the box exceeds the preselected value, the switch will be automatically tripped without affecting the operation of the entire busbar.
